Web Developer

Description: The Web developer is a competent programmer, who works closely with the Senior Developer and other staff. This person pays close attention to detail and is responsible for edits to current sites and buildng new web solutions.

Required Experience:

  • Intermediate-Advanced level Drupal 6.x
  • Expert level HTML/XHTML, including browser offset experience
  • Intermediate-Advanced level PHP5
  • Adobe Photoshop and Creative Suite experience
  • Familiarity with basic Unix admin (Linux, Free BSD, etc)
  • Intermediate-Advanced level database coding/admin (MySQL preferred)

Preferred Experience:

  • Javascript frameworks such as jQuery or Prototype
  • Configuration/admin of Apache 2.x
  • Subversion version control
  • API integration
Knowledge of the following items are plusses, but not required:
  • Other open-source CMS/framework experience would help (e.g. Cake, Joomla, Nuke, Rails, etc)
  • Other authoring systems (e.g. Dreamweaver and Contribute)
  • ASP or .NET

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assists with project tasks as assigned
  • Supports Development Team in creating web sites, web applications and email campaigns
  • Formatting and integration of content data into web sites
  • Occasional development and API work in 3rd party email campaign tools
  • Collaborates on internal agency projects
  • Tracks tasking time in Project Management tool
